Francis Sopper

Co-Founder

A career educator and early GTD adopter whose cognitive approach to the methodology caught David Allen's attention, now applying that lens to how humans manage and distribute information at the highest levels.

About Francis

Francis came to GTD in 1999 through a two-day workflow coaching with Meg Edwards. It took immediately. His approach to the practice was distinctly cognitive, focused on how the methodology maps to the way humans process and distribute information, and that orientation drew the attention of both Meg Edwards and David Allen.

As a career educator, Francis has spent decades at the intersection of learning, systems, and leadership. He has been a teacher, school and college administrator, and entrepreneur through OpenBook Learning. That breadth of experience gives him a unique vantage point: he understands how organizations learn, how individuals think, and where those two things fail to connect.

His client work reflects the reach of that experience. Francis works with heads of global organizations, senior military leadership, clergy, scientists, and fellow entrepreneurs, contexts that share little in common except the demand for clear thinking under pressure.
