Problems in work or life often leave us worried or stuck. Maybe it is a tricky situation with a colleague, a family matter, or a personal goal. Changing how you see problems is the first step to moving forward.
When is a Problem a Project?
In GTD, every problem can be treated as a project:
- Define the outcome you want
- Identify the next action
- Capture it in your trusted system
Sometimes placing a problem on your Someday/Maybe list gives immediate relief. Getting it off your mind creates space for proper thinking.
How to Capture a Problem as a Project
Ask yourself:
- Is this issue still on my mind?
- Can I take one step to move it forward?
- Will defining a next action reduce my stress level?
If yes, put it on your project list and define the next action.
Watch Meg’s full video on transforming problems into projects and see which thoughts that are weighing on your mind can be captured and organized into something actionable.
Cheers,
